Donna King lives and works in Paso Robles, California. She is currently the Parking Coordinator for the Paso Robles Police Department. As the Parking Coordinator, she has successfully worked to launch a parking management plan in Downtown Paso Robles. Donna won the 2019 SWPTA Parking Employee of the Year and the 2019 CPPA Wayne Dalton Award. Under Donna’s leadership, the City of Paso Robles won the SWPTA Best Parking Program Award and the Parking Today Excellence in Technology and Innovation On Street.
Join SWPTA in Durango, Colorado, April 1-3, 2024. The Program provides an overview of best practices established by frontline parking enforcement personnel. The program covers the history of policing and enforcement and explores Routine Activity Theory in relation to parking enforcement. We will delve into the multifaceted role of parking enforcement, encompassing enforcement, community caretaking, and acting as ambassadors for the agency. The importance of meeting community expectations, such as professionalism, courtesy, and adherence to civility principles, is highlighted.
